Video Pipe Inspection in Kansas City

If you’ve ever had to deal with a plumbing problem, especially something like a leak, you know that one of the most obnoxious things about them is their subtlety. The majority of the average plumbing system is hidden from view, and most plumbing issues don’t display warning signs until they’re very well-developed.

The result is that most people don’t even notice that they have a plumbing problem until it’s too late to stop the majority of the damage. Fortunately, you don’t have to sit and wait for a plumbing problem to ambush you.

Lutz Plumbing, Inc. offers a full range of video pipe inspection services throughout Kansas City. Call us today at 913-888-9500 to schedule an appointment with one of our expert plumbers.

What Is Video Pipe Inspection?

Video pipe inspection involves lowering a long cord into your plumbing system, with a camera attached to the end of it. The camera moves through your plumbing on motorized wheels, sending images back to the plumber controlling it. By doing this, the plumber can identify problems that need to be fixed, and their location, without having to actually dig up the pipe to examine it.

Once the inspection is completed, the cord is withdrawn without any further effect on the plumbing system.

Why Video Pipe Inspection Necessary

Plumbing problems aren’t just hard to detect, they’re also capable of causing some serious damage. Pinhole leaks, for example, are so small that they only release a couple of droplets at a time. That’s far too small to cause a drop in water pressure, or any of the other symptoms that might warn of a leak in the system.

As such, pinhole leaks are often left undiscovered for months, while they rot out the entire surrounding area one drop at a time. Most people don’t realize that they have a pinhole leak until they discover the massive amount of water damage that’s been building for months. At that point, of course, it’s too late to prevent most of the damage.

This is why you should schedule a video pipe inspection. Many of these problems are not going to be caught early unless you do so. You can wait, of course, but you’ll simply be racking up more repair costs for yourself when you discover the problem on your own.

If you want your plumbing system, and your home, to be as healthy as possible, video pipe inspection is a good idea. Schedule your appointment to get started with us today.
