Commercial Hydro-Jetting in Kansas City

In order to understand how beneficial hydro-jetting is, you first have to understand the differences in how the other solutions work. Corrosive drain cleaners, as we’ve already discussed, will eat their way through the main body of the clog but also tend to leave waste buildup on the walls of the pipe.

They also damage the pipe itself. Drain snaking, which involves using an auger to drill through clogs, can only open a hole as wide as the auger itself. That means that the majority of the clog will remain in the pipe, which will make it easier to close up and re–clog the drain.

Hydro-jetting, on the other hand, will completely remove any waste that is clinging to the walls of the drain pipe. It also does this without any need for corrosive agents or other damaging materials. The pressure of the water can be too much for certain pipes to handle, which is why you need to consult with a Lutz Plumbing professional about this technique. The vast majority of the time, however, hydro-jetting is the perfect solution for homes and businesses alike.

What Is Hydro-Jetting?

Hydro-jetting, or hydro flushing, as the name suggests, involves firing a high-pressure stream of water down your drain pipe in order to get rid of any clogs or waste buildup. A hose is inserted into the drain pipe, with an omnidirectional sprayer head at the end of it. Then, the water is turned on full-blast and all waste is scoured from the drain pipe walls.

Though hydro-jetting is not the best drain cleaning solution for every situation, it’s quickly becoming one of the most popular because of how effective it is at removing waste from residential and commercial drains.
