About Lutz Plumbing, Inc.

Founded by William Lutz, the great–grandfather of current owner Amber Lutz Sherman, Lutz Plumbing, Inc. can be traced back to the year 1920. William used to get his plumbing tools and materials from place to place by using a cart pulled by donkeys back when he first started the business.

William then passed the business onto two of his sons, Tom and Bill (William Jr)., who ran the business together for many years. The third generation stepped into ownership in 1986, when Jim Lutz (Bill’s son) and his cousin Kevin (Tom’s son) took over for their dads. Kevin stepped away from the business a while back to pursue a career in plumbing supply sales, and Jim ran the company for many years on his own. In 2018, Jim retired to Florida.

In 2006, current owner, Amber, began working full time in the business and worked her way up to Vice President in 2013. In January of 2016, the business promoted Amber to President.

The size of our company has varied over the many years in business, and in just the last few years, we have grown from 2 to 16 employees as we continue to provide quality and priority service to all of our customers, as their needs arise. We are continuing to grow so we can better serve our long–time and new customers, as well as provide the best lifestyle for our employees:
